I agree, these two recent pre intermediate lessons are the most useful lessons since the Fiona team left. More of this style please, thank you! Perhaps you could try doing the intermediate lessons this way too? I'm still not a fan of the changing camera angles though..but other than that, this is great.

Elijah - I agree the approach Jenny and John used was fantastic in so many ways and that is exactly what I was thinking of.

It's exciting to see more new hosts, thank you ChinesePod. Well done Cherry, Alice and the rest of the team, I think it's a pretty good lesson.

One thing I'd really like to see is much more Chinese in these intermediate lessons though. ChinesePod, please have a look at some intermediate lessons from the past where the native Chinese speaker sticks to speaking Chinese and the native English speaker uses mostly (or some) English. (E.g. From the Jenny and John era)

One other thing, again I'm not keen on the changing camera angles, I think it would be much more comfortable to watch if you just stick to one perspective.

Thank you!

This is really excellent!! I love the discussion between Anna and Tamia. More of this please!!!

Could Anna and Tamia also do some of the intermediate lessons? Maybe they could speak more slowly, but using the same style as here. I like Jenny and Grace, but I'd really like to practice my listening skills more and this type of conversation/discussion is perfect; I think there isn't really enough conversational Chinese like this in the lessons with Jenny and Grace.

Thank you for this fantastic lesson!

I’m really glad you’re creating more pre-intermediate lessons, thank you! A few comments:

(1)   There are a few words that I think should be in the new vocab list, e.g. 当时,凉拌,黄瓜. A more complete list of words that are likely new at this level would help with previewing the lesson. I tend to go over the new words before listening to the dialogue for the first time so that in theory I should be able to understand most of it. If there are other words that I couldn’t preview because they’re not included in the list, it makes this exercise harder and a bit frustrating. I’ve also noticed incomplete vocab lists with other lessons, not just this one.

(2)   I like Jenny but I would prefer different voice actors in the dialogue so that we’re exposed to more accents. A northern accent would be nice as Jenny and other current voice actors seem to have southern accents.

(3)   The sound effects are fun :)

Great to see another new lesson, congratulations to Grace, Jenny and the production team! It's cute to see Grace and her mum together. I think this is a good first lesson from them. I liked the vocab breakdown at the end. Some constructive feedback:

- I'm finding the changing camera angles really distracting, and it gives the conversation an unnatural feel. I think one fixed camera angle would be much better.
- A bit more Chinese please - it's hard to get the balance right, but at this level a little more Chinese would be good. Using or discussing the new words in a natural conversation in addition to the English explanations would be one way of adding some Chinese.

- The pronunication of 从cóng and some other words was a little different to what I'm used to, but maybe it's not a bad thing to be exposed to some regional variations.
业绩yèjì: Is 绩 first or fourth tone, or is it one of those that can be both?

I'm looking forward to seeing more lessons!
