Connie was basically uninterested in using English to communicate or educate, (and that was her prerogative, I'm not knocking it.) Given recent events I think Vera and the others need some positive feedback and encouragement, and that is what I'm trying to elicit here. Can you play ball?

Perhaps you're confusing Intermediate with Upper Intermediate. In any case QW has (traditionally) been a bit more lax, it's only in the last few years that it's been considered a 'lesson' proper at all.

I do think Vera is doing a wonderful job actually.

OK then, I see. I still think her pace (and English/Chinese mix) is appropriate for a QW pitched at the intermediate level however.

Actually her pace here is not particularly fast. It's necessary to do more listening practice (at various paces) to communicate in Chinese effectively.

LOL - podster you could upload your screenshot to a free image file host (e.g. Tinypic.com) and then use standard html in your post to make it appear here. Used to work for me anyway.

This is weird, dude. When I look at that page I see what RJ et al. have said. I've never seen any Latin, I was just kidding the first time you mentioned it. I am in China. Can you give us a screenshot? Might be amusing at least.

Sorry, I really thought you were joking about the Latin, so I was too. The other things, yeah, no lesson pic, no files to download, no way to play the audio. Great huh? The writing remains on the wall for all to see.

Sorry but I have no such experience. I myself have eschewed Windows 8.

It was only in Latin for about 15 minutes as a joke. Nice idea though.

Thanks for the clarification.
