Posted on: Buying Fresh Fish in the Market
January 21, 2018, 09:56 PM啦 is the contraction of 了啊, and, at the end of a sentence, it is used to indicate exclamation.
If you left off this 啦, the sentence would be affirmative, no exclamative.
If you changed 啦 for 了, it would mean a change of state, then the fish before were not fresh, but now it is fresh.
At least, that’s my opinion.

January 03, 2018, 10:07 AMFrom my view the differences are the following
In ancient times, 这 was used in colloquial language, while 此 was limited to formal language.
Nowadays, 这 is more popular than 此 since the written Chinese is much more colloquial than it was in ancient times. But some usages of 此 still remain.
There are some rules:
· 此 is only uses in formal language.
· Don’t use measure words 此:
这本书 - 此事
· When they mean more than "this", for example, this moment, right now, they are not exchangeable.
我这就去。我这才看见。
Regarding 该, it means this when is equal to “the above-mentioned”:
该地区盛产煤。
Gāi dìqū shèngchǎn méi.
This region produces large quantities of coal.
