謝謝你. 我有點懷疑因為'卂'跟'凡'看起來不一樣.

The lesson was so much fun to listen. If popup translation is really needed one can try Kingsoft 金山 dictionary software or Dr. Eye for traditional. I have noticed too that the popup translations in advanced level, when they are built in, are sometimes not very precise, as if they were translated without considering the context. Guessing the meaning and moving on works out for me. We have the separate vocabulary set anyway and usually that is more than enough for one lesson. Personally I still think the lesson and dialogue content of advanced level are of excellent quality, suggesting there is substantial work behind to prepare the material. I do agree too, that with popup translation it would be more complete but it has to be a really painful job to associate every single set of characters with its translation at this level, and perhaps not that essential to follow the lessons (?).

The description of the scene is quite plausible. It seems it was red for both of them. This lesson reminded me of Rashomon (羅生門). A movie worth the while to watch!

雖然有時候高級課程的難度對我高一點却通常沒有問題能夠了解課程的解釋。 我需要花最多時間的方面是學習新詞語的用法。我覺得中級和中高級課程對我最適合因為學習的速度比較快。不過高級課程也很有用。在聽見老師彼此談話我可以想像女生之間的閒聊的樣子。很有趣而好玩的。

別說了 at the end is translated as "just don't". Can it be used in every situation one wishes to dissuade someone from doing something? Any restrictions of its use?

Thanks amber. I suppose this kind of basic tips will be included in the 'grammar brush up section'? I also found useful the clarification on the use of the 'de's. Man2toe, I see you have similar problems to mine. We might need to switch to simplified at some point to make life easier for other people. I have not visited JiaYi. Do you live there? Why are you taking classes at chinesepod if your Chinese seems good already? You're Hakka?

The word 才 is used several times in the text and they are clear for me except the one of 我才沒這個時間呢. Is it just an emphasis? Another question, is anyone aware of a way to type simplified Chinese using traditional cangjie input?
