I have a question that isn't exactly related to this lesson but it is relevant. I am sure you know of the HSK test and I was wondering if it somehow applied to a user's language ranking on this site (newbie, elementary, intermediate, upper-intermediate, advanced). For example would you say once a user completed newbie they would be around a HSK 1level? Elementary, perhaps HSK 2-3?

I also had the same question as Fiddler.

Very interested if both can be used interchangeable. Looking forward to that Qing Wen as well.

Thanks Fi, I understand the difference. So basically a 健身房 is a place where you would be required to probably purchase a membership and a 運動中心 is more like those a sports centre or perhaps one of those sections in a residential area where you see people using the outdoor equipment to stay in shape. Is that correct?

Isn't the proper word for gym... "jiàn shēn fáng"... I am quite certain this is used much more often than "yùn dòng zhōng xīn".... Why was it not included?

Useful lesson, especially if you are/need a helper in the kitchen in China.

I have heard many times where an ayi or parent will tell their son/daughter to alert them when the water has "shui kai le"... I have mostly lived in Northern China and it is totally correct that they do use this term more often than "shui gun le"

Hello, just wondering. Why doesn't this lesson have an included exercise?

Thanks.
