I was wondering about the use of 呢 in the second sentence of the dialogue. I know 呢 to mean basically "what about" as in 你呢? What does the 呢 in this sentence mean/add to the sentence (all these "ending sentence" words really mess me up! I always use the wrong one.)

Is the second zhe ge necessary in the sentence 宝宝吃这个, 这个很好吃. Could you say 宝宝吃这个, 很好吃.

Ah! Why do my posts always do that! Let me post that again.

What is the difference between 小心 (xiaoxin) and 当心(dangxin)?

I already knew that you didn't need to use de for 我爸爸, but what about with baby. Could you say 我宝宝 or do you have to put in the de?

Could someone clarify a little more about maybe with some example sentences and translations? I tried to find it in my dictionary, but I guess it's not common enough to be there. I also could only find two example sentences in resources, not enough for me to get a true understanding. Thanks!!!

You will be missed. I learned so much from your show. It really helped me avoid a lot of embarrasment when I went to China.

I work at a preschool in the US and have aweful vacation benefits. I've worked there 2 1/2 years. The first year I had no paid vacation or sick leave. The second year I had "earned" 5 days vacation & 3 days sick (which I more than used up with all the germs going around).

My last day of work is Christmas Eve (yes, I have to work Christmas eve). I'm going back to school to become a "real" teacher in January. At least then I'll get summers off (unpaid, but the pay increase should off-set that) so I can go to China with my husband.

Thank you xigua2 for the tang poems. I've always heard about how beautiful they were, but hadn't really had time to look into them.

I would love if we could have a chinese pod (elementary or intermediate) lesson learning a tang poem.
