Thanks for sorting out the usage of both words! I was also curious about which word that was actually used in the dialogue audio, the transcript says 痛 but I think it sounds like 疼 when listening.

Great lesson guys, I'd also love to hear more stuff fromthe gym, exercises, how to usethe words for sets and reps and so on. However I'm having a bit of trouble. I'm trying to transcribe the dialogue by listening to it over and over and I cannot make out that she says痛得要命, I keep hearing疼得要命. Really started to work on my listening comprehension so some clarification would be great. Thanks!

Thanks Jiao Jie! But my dictionary says 称 is just chèn, no G at the end.

I'm a bit confused, the word I know for scale is 秤 chèng, and for weigh I've used 称 chēng. Can 称 chèn also be used as scale? Or have I've been wrong the whole time?

I'm struggling a bit to find the chinese word for interface and whether the words for os user interface and web interface are different. Does anyone know? This seems to be the place to ask :-)

Thanks!

Thanks for the explanation, it really cleared things up for me especially considering that this has been a problem for me. Interesting how something explained the right way becomes quite obvious afterwards. :-) After listening to the dialogue I can clearly hear the pause and phrasing. Thanks again!

Great lesson and very challenging for me at my current level. I'm a bit curious about the first sentence where there are four third tones in a row:脑海里满, nǎohǎilǐmǎn.

What would be the proper way of saying this?

And yeah, the dad actor rocked, seems like Chinese Pod's IT-department is a great pool for voice actors :-)

I read an interesting phrase today in an e-mail that I thought I'd share. 九牛二虎之力. jiǔniúèrhǔzhīlì.

Apparently means something like a great effort.

I think it sounds like the guy in the dialogue says guóqīngjié. It could be my listening ability, or rather lack of listening ability that is the problem. Which makes me think of another thing when it comes to tones, in the chinese movies I've seen people speak really fast and slurry. Is it even possible to distinguish each tone in rapid speech? Or do people mostly guess based on the context?

On a side-note, I'd say we need a women's militia in Sweden too. :-)
