Nothing against the music, or the lesson or the hosts. But now it's much better. Thanks.

Yes.. starting every lesson with 22 seconds of music is a bit much. I have a year subscription. That's 8030 seconds a year, of the same intro song.

A "hello, welcome to chinesepod" like the Fiona was just right.

I have searched all over the site for settings to help me stop getting email notifications every time this lesson is commented on. I couldn't even delete this comment. Please help. I don't want to keep getting notifications.

Brad and Angelina are not a couple tongue-out. They divorced 3 years ago....

I have a lot of Chinese associates, and sending them a voice note of Fiona speakingsurely took less time than it took you to write that paragraph. If that's what you define great lengths as, but hey, you're a self proclaimed Mandarin accent expert. I don't know Fiona, I don't even know how she would define her own accent, and my ear is only good enough to detect vast regional accents. But the question was not about where she's from, it was about if she's a native speaker. There are likely 200+ worldwide native accents for dialect speakers when they speak Mandarin. When I'm abroad for long periods, my family tells me my accent is a bit off. But that doesn't mean I'm not a native English speaker, or that I don't get my original accent back within a few days of being home. When sent the recording, other native mandarin speakers didn't say, she sounds something like a foreigner who learned Chinese to a high level with Taiwanese influence etc, they said, she's certainly native Taiwanese. You said she speaks well, but not like a native. To YOU she has a foreign accent, but not to Taiwanese. I'm going to stick with the opinion of that group of native Mandarin speakers over yours. Peace.
