Oops sorry - my reading is poor. I confused the 看 for another 着.

I haven't listened to the podcast, but your interpretation definitely makes sense now.

Doesn't it mean "... walking ... walking ... walking ... I've arrived" ?

Not sure, but I think this might be the alternative usage of 着 - to be in a certain state while doing sth. else.

ie. While tilting your thumbs, naturally place them ...

or With your thumbs tilted, ...

or With your thumbs in the state of being tilted, ...

Thanks. That answers my question.

Perhaps this is answered in the podcast - I haven't had a chance to listen yet:

If you want to modify a separable verb with 过, where is it placed? In the middle or at the end?

Could you define more clearly these "polite English speaking circles"?

I am not sure how to interpret your use of 'polite'. What is the antonym of 'polite' when it is used in this sense?

Further, where do these circles exist? Are they peculiar to a particular country?

Do you belong to one of these circles?

Best of luck in Taiwan Jason. I actually slightly prefer your lesson delivery over John's. (Hope you don't take offense at that John.)

Anyway, will Greg be hosting any lessons?

I disagreed with this guy's sentiment, but if his comment was trolling I guess I really don't understand the term.

Would it really make sense to talk about a "Chinese Language Meal" ?

Unless of course they have the equivalent of Alphabet Soup!
