May 27, 2008 at 12:24 AMI am going to Shanghai later this week for the first time to visit my (Chinese) girlfriend there. We are planning to KTV. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good KTV place in town? Also, do they generally have many songs in English? My Chinese is not so great yet. Thanks.

April 27, 2008 at 12:40 AM大家好, This is my first lesson completed in the Elementary level. I was very intimidated when I listened to the dialogue as it is much faster than in the Newbie level. I was much more confident after completing the lesson because Ken and Jenny did a great job of breaking down each sentence. I said all that just to say that here is another Chinesepod fan. I am very excited about learning Chinese every day. Thanks!

October 10, 2007 at 9:37 PMI'd like to re-ask the question that anayelena asked about the placement of adverbs that represent time. From what I've seen so far in my short time studying Mandarin, these adverbs seem to be used before and after the subject. Are they interchangeable in this way or are there only certain times you can use them before the subject and after the subject? e.g. Jin1tian1 wo3 hen3 lei4 vs. Wo3 jin1tian1 hen3 lei4 Thanks for any clarification.
