There must be a typo in the dialog: 行文 does not look like a "wenhua" to me, especially as it immediately  follows 流行, which it says is a "liuxing".  Isn't the word in quesion a "xingwen"?  Please, clarify.

I was wondering if I could get a tip on how to make my computer to type mandaring for "here", nar?  The first character (na, 那） is fine, but what about the second character?  Stand-alone "r" does not produce any character.

For those curious, mandarin for Russia is a transliteration of the russian name for Russia. In russian it's pronounced row-see-ya.
