I knew my year over 20 years before learning my first Chinese word!

April 12, 2008, 03:55 AMIt was interesting to hear about the 'Art Exhibit' scams. Now I understand why I was approached by so many art students in Tian'anmen square. I didn't know it was a scam, but when I started trying to speak Chinese with them, they all seemed to forget about the art show and just wanted to talk with me. I hope next time to be able to carry on a better conversation!

July 02, 2011, 03:49 PMTechnically speaking, email is not near 100% reliable (like phone calls). In addition, many companies employ spam filtering, which in my experience has caught many valid emails from co-workers.
Also, I don't check email anymore; email checks me!
