In the podcast at 9:45, Pete uses this sentence: "我刚回去越南。" Is this another context in which this construction, 回去 + location, is acceptable? If so, what about this context makes this construction acceptable?

Agreeing with jinandjohnny, I think using the word over and over in a bunch of sentences helps a lot. Please keep this style of Qing Wen going.

Regarding the Changye, Mikeinewshot, Paulinarus discussion...

I hope you don't mind responding to a follow up question:

“他开车开得很快。” means "He drives the car fast."

“他开车开了一个小时了。” means " He's been driving the car for an hour."

(I'm assuming that these sentences are right. Correct me if I'm wrong.)

How would you combine these sentences to say "He's been driving the car fast for an hour."?
