January 24, 2009 at 1:01 AMGreat lesson!
Actually, what I find here in California is that people (especially teens and younger people) don't have this problem of not hanging up because hang up is issued in this way:
Parent: Stop talking on the phone!! You've already been 4 hours!!
Teen: I gotta go. See you later. *Call is hung up*
Either that or your call is cut off by a *beep*beep*beep* "You have -- minutes left. Please contact your phone service company."

December 4, 2008 at 5:27 AMHere in California, plastic bags are everywhere. Grocery store-wise, most of the regular, average grocery stores will just pack your groceries in a plastic bag. However, the green stores will give you some insentive. Trader Joe's gives you a raffle ticket if you use a reusable bag (They sell a HUGE variety of them!) that enters you in a raffle for a small amount of groceries. Another green store gives you a 5-cent wooden 'nickel' that you drop into one of four different boxes to donate to. So you can save the environment and donate to charity! Most of the shopping (clothes) places give you their 'ultra special, designer' bags that are brown paper with print on them. Flashy, but defininetly not green!

February 28, 2009 at 1:26 AMAfter moving to the US I miss my delish Cadbury's!!! Though you can get Cadbury's here, s'not as good....I found a huge shelf full of them though. And I usually find Hershey bars really sweet! So, Sebire, it could have just been that bar that you tried. I find that See's Candy usually is quite good. Especially this one kind they have....which I forgot the name of.
酸奶 is a bit like smoothies, if you live in the US and don't really understand :)
