May 8, 2008 at 12:16 AM@ John, I'm an American, grew up in Santa Fe, NM, but I am currently going to school at the University of Chicago. @ Calkins, I really like your pictures. I dont' want to say anything cheesy like they capture the spirit of Chicago, but they are pretty spectacular. And a great (relatively) new addition to Chicago I would recomend to any travelers coming through is Millenium Park and "The Bean" just south of the river on Michigan Ave: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bean

June 20, 2008 at 11:15 AMI'm an American currently studying at Tsinghua University in Beijing. I do not know about any official rules (the foreign students studying Chinese are a bit separated), but on the surface there are no restrictions on dating. I have seen couples in the dining hall hug, hold hands, and some things a bit more physical, never so far as kissing in public.
