I looked up "Munneru Vaaliba" on youtube as I had never heard this song before (or rather, I never took much notice of it as it was in Tamil and I didn't understand it). It really is quite a catchy song.

Thanks for sharing on the history of the Tamil community in Singapore. Such a rich history !

I went through primary school in Singapore and come back to Singapore every year from Australia.

I definitely agree with you on the point about race and appreciated the exposure to the many different cultures and races in Singapore.

It was also great to study Chinese in primary school (despite failing! haha) as I now have a more intuitive grasp for the tones and grammar structure of Chinese.

From the grammar section

 "A 才好 (呢)" (A cái hǎo (ne))

I don't quite understand the use of 呢. Is it there as a particle to add flavour to the sentence?
