August 22, 2010 at 3:07 AMWow! That was awesome. Thank you! I wish I knew this three years ago, when I first started using Chinesepod. I've been wondering for ages how to get to the next level.
Can you next talk about how often and for how long one should listen to Chinesepod for optimal results. For example, once a day for 1 hour? Also, about the use of exercises and other features.

July 21, 2010 at 4:41 PMI *love* Chinese opera! Last week I ran into a street performance of Minnan opera in Xiamen. I was planning to stay for a few minutes and ended up watching for 3 hours! From the few performances I've seen of Chinese opera, in Beijing, film, and now on the street, I'm mesmerized by the gorgeous costumes, sophisticated movements and sly humor. Although this art form is ancient, it seems contemporary and avant-garde to my Chinese-American ears and eyes.

May 30, 2009 at 2:29 AMThis was an *superb* video! I can't believe how much was packed into 4 minutes: geography, topography, demography, history, religion, sociology, linguistics, etiquette, cuisine, laundry, action, romance, etc., etc. Love the graphics! All education should be this much fun.

April 25, 2009 at 10:47 PMWhat a great story!
Can we find out what Chuan Chuan's father wrote in his letter? Also, may Chuan Chuan's mother have a mysterious exotic past as well?
How could Chuan Chuan not know his father was an academic adventurer? Did his mom tell him his father had another name? profession?

March 20, 2009 at 5:46 PMPete,
Thank you for a **wonderful** series! Your explication of each poem shows not only erudition and contemporary savvy, but also excellent pedagogy! I also appreciate your dialogue with each Poddie.
It would be fantastic if all this could one day be turned into a video series.
(The only thing I would change is the beginning and ending music. It's still jarring for me. If the intro and ending had similar music as the background music during the poem, the series would be heavenly).
Thank you, again, for opening up the treasures of the Chinese soul for us.
Thank you, Chinesepod, for giving Pete this opportunity.

March 14, 2009 at 4:37 PMthank you, urcto! do you think the average mainland chinese individual believes in the afterlife and in some type of judgment for deeds done during one's life?
miantiao, christians believe in the holy ghost 圣灵 and communicate regularly with him. christians also believe in the existence of evil spirits but are not supposed to seek guidance from them.
last night i thought of the zombies as i was about to sleep, but fortunately did not have a nightmare.
