"考生物“ sounds like "考试物" . Is my hearing that far off or is the dialog incorrect?

January 9, 2011 at 1:49 AMCan someone explain how 什么都没看到 translates in to "I didn't see anything" Also is kàndào a single word or has a single meaning? Is 什么都 a little like 什么东西？or am I missing something here.

October 17, 2009 at 7:51 AMThis is a nice lesson. I have also been trying the Skritter program which is a lot of fun. I have not been doing much on ChinesePod because I am so busy teaching English to students here in Nanjing. Right now my Chinese study deals with trying to suck up as much as I can during the day as I don't have much spare time. I would have been dead in the water if I had not practiced Chinese before I got here. I am due to sign up again for another year with ChinesePod which I will do as ChinesePod is sort of like Home. I was wondering if ChinesePod could help me. You had a show with the group Cold Fairyland. They are a Shanghai group. I have found that none of my students know about the group. I would like to play the show you had to my students. Do you have a copy of the show which could be played on a PC? It would be interesting to show the students the mix of rock'n roll and traditional Chinese instruments.

It is sad to think there will be no more poems from Pete. I think deep down I was attracted to learning Chinese so I could read Tang poetry in the real words. I hope that from time to time you might surprise us with still another poem.
You did finish with an appropriate poem for me as I am head to Nanjing to teach and I assume that some day I will have to say good-bye in a tavern in Nanjing.
Thank you so very much for your insight into the world of Chinese poetry. The stories around the poems were as valuable as the reading of the poems themselves.
Please, if you can find time, do give us another poem.

I will be in Shanghai in August and I would like to see if I can find time to visit ChinesePod. If podies want to visit ChinesePod what do we need to do to let you know we are coming? I guess we also need to check out Ctrip. It will be great to spend time in Shanghai and hopefully visit ChinesePod. I recommend ChinesePod to all my friends interested in Chinese, one who will be signing up shortly. Best wishes for the Menu Stealer. As much as I LOVE ChinesePod, I would also like to say that people should check out the new version 3 of Rosetta Stone Mandarin. It is way better than version 2. However, you can do a couple of years of ChinesePod Premium for the cost of Rosetta Stone, so ChinesePod first and if you are flush with money Rosetta Stone version 3. ChinesePod with all the lessons, poetry and the Menu Stealer is my number one choice for learning Chinese. Also I hope that I will get to visit ChinesePod in August ... this will be comparable to visiting the Great Wall.

April 18, 2009 at 8:02 PMThis is really a great addition to CP. Food is important in China. Also it is difficult to get good menus for my Chinese class. I don't steel, but I have to do a lot of asking. Also this is what is eaten in China not what is served here. Keep this up and maybe I won't starve when I get to China in the fall.

July 17, 2007 at 2:27 AMIn the Expansion the statement 这站上车的人很多。 has a very clear logic, but the form is unnatural for an English speaker. Are there other ways to say the same thing in Chinese? Is this pattern a common way of saying things in Chinese?

January 29, 2012 at 5:25 AMCould you do a lesson or show on the use of 到. In this lesson we see 看到了 and the meaning changes from just "to see". I see 到 showing up in all sort of places and it would be good if someone could explain just how this word is used in all these different occurrances. Lots of good information in this simple lesson!
