I was dinning at a chinese restaurant last sunday which was totally full of chinese expats working here. That was really something as they were having a lot of fun!

Hi there! Portuguese speaking here, living in Africa and with business in many countries in the world including China. Visiting Dalian late December, made me wish to learn chinese as I had to attend meetings with 7 people and only 1 or 2 speaking english. Anyway, it seems to me that people from the southern part of China - although they speak cantonese - have a pretty much different way of saying things than those in the north like Dalian. Very interesting. Well, for all this and because I do now find it of the utmost importance to learn chinese - no matter the "strange" experience I had in 1994 visiting the south of China after graduation - I ended up in this excellent site. Thanks a lot for making my life easier!
