December 1, 2007 at 6:00 PMGrammar question, though it might be silly: Can I simply say "dong tian dao le" ( "winter arrived") ? "dong tian yao dao le" literally translated would be "winter demand/ant arreived". Sounds a bit funny *g*

December 1, 2007 at 2:47 PMYou mean I can't say "过来, 抱 一下" ? ( guo lai, bao yi xia ) Is it "过来, 紧抱 一下" then ? ( guo lai, jin bao yi xia ) ---- Instead of asking "亲一下" could I also ask "给我 一个 亲" ? I guess not because 亲 is something I do, not something I can give, right ? How do I complete the sentence "给我..." then ?

December 2, 2007 at 1:15 PMCool. Same way I do it. I found out it does not matte if I write a character 5 times or 100 times. My brain simply goes ilde if I repeat itto often. I invent sentences containing this character and write them. Doing this my brain is forced to work. Also it has to cope with something different, eg. other words and then return to the original character. My brain _must_ now push the character from short term to middle term memory because the short term memors is needed for something else. I pass the invented sentences to my teacher. She corrects grammar etc. This is a tripple-good method because I a) practice the new characters b) repeat older characters c) learn grammar
