February 25, 2008 at 1:37 PMThis is one of my first newbie lessons. I'm a little frustrated as quite a few words are skipped over. Is it assumed I've learned these words in the Newbie lessons? Should I just go back and do more newbie lessons?

January 18, 2008 at 6:22 PMGood point Fudapeng. I'm still overwhelmed by how many different things a chinese word can mean. Guess I'll just pick which one sounds the best. I still would love anyone's input on my previous post:)

January 18, 2008 at 4:05 PMI found a name converter. What do you guys think of these for chinese names for myself? Zhen1 Hui4 Ren2 (True Valiant Benevolent?) Zhen1 Hoa2 Ren2 (True Brave Benevolent?) Jiang3 Hoa2 Ren2 (Honest Brave Benevolent?) Or one I came up with myself (and HOPE the meaning is right) Zhen1 Mao4 Jian4 (Which I THINK translates to True Leader Example) Do any of these seem good? Do I have the translations messed up? Thanks for ANY help!

January 18, 2008 at 1:03 PMSo huíjiā makes "hui" become a different meaning than "can"? Why didn't Ken and Jenny explain that? I LOVE this podcast, but once in a while towards the end of the lesson, they seem to skip over the explanation of the last word or two, or rush it. It there a time limit to each lesson? Just one of my VERY few complaints. Thanks!

January 18, 2008 at 12:59 PMThanks, that helps, except I can't read chinese characters. Should I be learning that too?

January 17, 2008 at 9:47 PMQuestion: I don't remember the "de" in "shuō de" being explained. What's "de" mean?

March 7, 2008 at 12:51 PMWow, this is the BEST description of "le" I've found yet. I'm surprised it wasn't explained in the lesson, considering how in-depth they usually get.
