December 27, 2007 at 4:16 AMI haven't seen many people play dice in China, either. I guess the stereotypical expat in China must like to go to bars. Well, I am an expat in China, but I don't. I am glad for the lesson nonetheless. Thanks!

December 19, 2007 at 6:21 AMThis is totally off-topic, but I would like to request lessons on the new age movement and the occult. I have been studying Chinese for 11 years and I was totally lost for words when I had a conversation about this topic recently. Learning words like karma, supernatural, psychic, ESP, telepathy, hypnosis, fortune-telling, cult, occult, seance, palm-reading, horoscope, and psychology would be extremely helpful to Chinese learners. The dictionaries I use either A) don't have the vocabulary or B) list difficult to remember terms like 催眠状态 or 个人崇拜. Other useful, rarely covered subjects I would like to suggest are illness, politics, and religion. Thanks and keep up the great work!

March 7, 2008 at 5:48 AMThank you for this lesson. I have some more lesson ideas. I would like to see a show about repairs. I was trying to install a water heater yesterday and I didn't know how to say things like "plug the pipe in and twist it" and "philips screwdriver" in Chinese. I think listeners would also like to hear lessons on buying, licensing, and maintaining a car. I am also looking for more lessons on chengyu, religion, investing, real estate, courts, and driving. Thanks and keep up the good work!
