The "fix" of this lesson is really cool;-) It is completely empty, there is only the voice over. I also noticed that in many of the early media lessons the vocabulary section is completely broken :( Anybody else noticed this? Anybody except me cares?March 24, 2008

This lesson is supposed to be exempt of vocab (and therefore the fix), as there was no actual article that the lesson was based on. Yet, this has proved confusing, so connie is creating a vocab list to be put up shortly.March 24, 2008

This lesson was really fascinating. When I was in Chengdu a few years ago, I ran across an artist who also played around with 假汉子. Some of his art involved morphing a picture of an animal so that it looked like a Chinese character. Is this technique a common modern art style in China? Working on deciphering the English in the first picture... By the way, the third picture seems down （at least in China).March 24, 2008

I just commented above in Chinese, and maybe I didn't express that clearly but what's linked to above as 天书 is not actually 天书. It's an example of New English Square Word Calligraphy, like the third link. 天书 is entirely different--it's actually not decodable. See my link above for a series of pictures of it on the artists own website. Interestingly, the original title of Book from the Sky was "The Mirror of the World-An Analyzed Reflection of the End of This Century."March 25, 2008

我觉得这课程，除了听对话以外，如果加上几个题，让学者判断对错，或者选择最好的答案。这样才可以提高汉语水平。因为如果只是单纯地听而不运用，对学习外语没有好处。除此之外，加上一部分阅读理解更好。要学同步，包括；听力的能力，和阅读理解。这是我的想法，不知合适不合适，请过目。
