不好意思！ I have trouble with some details in the following seemingly easy sentences: 1. I am not sure about "结果没看中": she could not look inside?? The shop? The bag? 2. Am I correct to assume that 只能自认倒霉了 is "it is only own fault [to have that kind of bad luck ]" 3. "我不跟你开价" I am *not* quoting a price? Is it meant that he is already giving a low price?

and another one in the Expansion: 别喝太多酒，贪杯误事。 What is meant by this? Greedily drinking defers business?

Something has happened to the format of the vocabulary page. When I cut and paste from it, I get stuff like: http://s3.amazonaws.com/chinesepod/0834/mp3/glossary/source/rec-1206671106640-0.mp30 embedded. Dialogue page is ok

你好，henning！ 1.“看中(kànzhòng)”的意思是：看了以后觉得满意、喜欢。比如：昨天我看中了一件衣服。 2.“自认倒霉”的意思是：自己承认自己运气不好。都是运气不好的错。 3.一般我们觉得店主开价都是很高的。所以"我不跟你开价"就是我说的价格很低。 4.“贪杯”的意思是：过分喜欢喝酒。 “贪杯误事”就是沉迷于喝酒会耽误事情。 （后面三个的意思你都说对了。）

卖方开价八百块却买方讲到两百块这可以说双方都厉害。 我这个心软又善良的外国老头从来不敢像她们那样讲价， 还记得我刚来中国时怎么也说不出这句话就是便宜点吧! 我已经渐渐习惯了在中国讨价但是还远不如那两位姑娘， 比如说我根本没有胆量对售货员要求把价格降到一半儿。 中国百姓都是很老练能干的谈判高手更何况国家领导们， 而且中华五千年的历史给予中国人孙子兵法等深奥谋略， 中国在国际社会中被视为难对付的谈判对手就理所当然。 政治家或者企业家访华时往往会为了去观光而浪费时间， 不过他们在市场亲自体验杀价才能领会优势谈判的奥秘。

henning, 谢谢你的问题， connie老师的回答真让我很清楚。 虽然我这个故事和仿的、水货的东西没有什么关系，它还是和被卖人欺骗的情况有关系。有一天，一个好朋友给我三十块钱，让我帮他买花。我和一个路上的卖花的人说了很清楚，我是为了一个朋友要买三十块钱的一束花。卖花的人很热情说，很好，她可以准备一束很漂亮的花给我卖。我等他都准备好了，交给他三十块钱，等她交给我那束花，可是他不给，竟然生气的说三十块钱买不到那么漂亮的花。我回答提醒她我们已经说清楚价格，他说我没说了。我笑着说“我不卖，我知道我们已经订了价格，再说我不能买，因为朋友只给我三十块钱”。买花的不愿意还给我的钱，一直想用大声逼迫我再给她钱。我那时候一点开始怀疑自己，问自己我会不会记错了？我笑着问那个卖花人我们不是早说定了价格吗？那时候我们的旁边的一个卖什么的人对我点了头，点头以后就马上装作她在注意别的事儿。她那么小的支持让我再有自信，我笑着说我知道我们是说定了，我不卖，再见，就伸手等她环给钱。那时候她终于愿意给我那束花，他真是一个大骗子，我对她很有自信的笑着，说一声谢谢，就走了。

changye 我很同情你， 连甚至中国当地人出去买东西要讨价还价的已经够呛的， 更何况我们当老外就更可怕，卖家不向你狮子开口才怪呢！其实有时候真的没办法了，最后一招就是装自己听不懂中文，碰了运气卖家把底线都给你露出来了

Hi liujieming, 在东北买东西时我们日本人有一个绝招， 假装我是汉语不好的南方人或者朝鲜族。 最关键的是不让卖方知道你是个外国人。 但这是你们西方人一定做不到的事情吧。

我觉得在讨价还价上存在着一些误解。其实，讨价还价不需要什么技巧，也不用于卖者交换那么多屁话。绝大多数的时候，买者有非常大的优势。像在对话中说的，总之，如果卖者不会赚钱，那就不会卖。说价钱，他们不卖就走。只要你说的价钱和卖者的最低价的差异不太大，他就会继续减价。你总是可以说考虑一下，走，然后看他反应。不卖没关系，可以过几分钟就回来说高一点的价钱。归根结底，卖者宁可赚钱也不要不赚，买者反过来可以随便走和回来，随便调整价钱。

In the dialog page the definition of 小便宜 is "piss proper" (when moving the mouse pointer over the word). Now that is a new one :)

買東西最好貨比三家，要不然被蒙了也不知道。

貨比三家= 貨物-比較-三(?)-家(量詞或我家?)My mind is wanting to think this means- it's best to buy near to home-best to buy from what you're familiar with but, does it mean that it's best to compare the prices at 3 places before purchasing?

好,我以貼起來問題後就明白了.這詞語是不是固定的說法?

貨比三家 (huòbǐsānjiā)

is a set phrase that means when you buy something, you should compare prices and quality at different shops before making a purchase.
