In this weeks Movie Madness we have a bit of a confrontation amongst brothers. One clearly picks on the other, while the other just takes it. And this is not in the same league as getting handcuffed to the garage door handle while your older brothers shoot baskets on the hoop directly above while laughing as the ball bounces off your defenseless head, it is a bit more intense. Listen us break down this Hollywood film dubbed into Mandarin, and we'll see if you can guess the title. Place your guesses with Amber or Clay, and best of luck to you this week.

Can I get the new CD? I have done the bit-torrent but some of my lessons are clipped off and I would really like to have it all in one CD. I have been a Praxis subscriber since about last August 07. Would not mind if there had to be a moderate charge.
On a slightly different note- I would like a lesson on buying jewelry, beads, gems. I am in the bead buying and selling business and just had a great opportunity to practice my newbiel language on Mandarin speaking venders in Tucson, Arizona where there in one of the largest gem, mineral and bead shows in the world and definately in the US. Measure words for strands of beads, how is it sold- by the gram or by the ounce- or by the carat. What is the material? Gold plate, Sterling? Base Metal? Words for Cloissone, turquoise, jade.
Even with my very unsophisticated Chinese I had lots of fun and most everyone was more than willing to help me say thing properly. I even got a kiss- of course it may have had something to do with my Qing Wen tones!
