New site looks good, but I'm having a few small problems on the dialog page. Not all the rollovers are working (e.g. 参加聚会). Also the flash audio button don't seem to be working for me anymore (Firefox on Linux). Lastly, the fonts seem smaller now, which is hard on my over-40-year-old eyes. I'm trying to persuade firefox not to render below a fixed point size, but not having much luck. Nice lesson though...one I'll be able to listen to over and over. One little grammar question--why is it 你所有的朋友? I would have tried to say instead 所有你的朋友]]> John

The flash audio clips are the same for me, before I always had to move my mouse continously back and forth over the play button for the audio to play continously. I was hoping it might be resolved now but I guess it's a Firefox bug that can't be resolved at the moment. I like the way you can search the glossary now, but I've noticed there's no longer any audio on the glossary or word bank now. There doesn't appear to be any way to export the word bank now either and in the podcast review section page 1 and 2 appear to be identical. Overall excellent work.]]> Bazza

Happy New Year from Changchun. Just finding out how the 东北 accent is do different from that of the 南方 accent, even though I have a good understanding of Chinese, I could understand only 70-80% of the conversations spoken by the 东北 people. There are also a lot of terms used locally which are quite foreign to me. For example, the cold in Changchun is called "ka ka" 冷. I think it will be interesting to do another lesson on the various dialects across China. For example, like the terms that I should be familiar with when I am going to Fujian or Haerbin etc.]]> Jennifer

dear all, to be honest, this lesson really killed me. the previous intermediate lessons all had a pretty good level for me, some even a bit too easy, but this one turned out to be really hard. i had to look up about 30 words or so which weren't covered in the vocabulary section. a lot of "connection-words" (reng2ran2; yi3ji2; er2; bing4qie3) but also the way a lot of verbs were used (e.g. qu3 jue2 yu2 - whats the yu2 for?). also discovered a couple of "mistakes" or i am mistaken myself :-) e.g. in the pdf you say bin4 instead of bing4, also the speaker says something like wo3 bu4 xiang3 zuo4 dian3 tong4de or something alike instead of yi2yang4de. this lesson really messed my head up, it took me two days to decipher it and i am now pretty unsure whether i really am intermediate or if i should go back to newbie..... anyway, thanks for teaching humbleness ;-) take care n.]]> nabil
