Some 快递 work in pairs on the metro. One guy goes around the city on the metro, carrying a big load of packages. At the appropriate stop, there will be someone waiting for him to hand off the package and deliver it. That way, the guy inside doesn't have to keep leaving and buying metro tickets.

There is a guy like that, equipped with 蓝牙 Bluetooth, waiting at the turnstile of my metro station every morning.

Won't be jobless for long though since I will be teaching English at a university in Henan! Hopefully I can relate to the students since we are around the same level of skill in our respective 2nd language. I also hope that I can do half as good a job as John probably did.

And maybe someday I will actually have a language question to post here. Till then, I'll be Pod'n it up!

Henan, huh? Lots of history there. I haven't explored it nearly as much as I'd like. A lot of great poets like Li Shangyin 李商隐 were from that area.

Yes, it will be great to the historical places. Love Chinese history.  But I'm also there so I can actually USE Mandarin and learn it better.

  I know in Hong Kong they put a time limit on the subway tickets because of the two guy delivery system. I saw it in action many times in HK both packages flipped over the turnstyle in and out. I thought it was very classic Chinese creative way to save money.
