You could try and mime your way through it to ask for someone’s email address (piano fingers and tongue clicking). You could simply call them every time you needed to speak. Or, you could just listen to this lesson, where you will learn how to ask for someone’s email address in Mandarin Chinese. Good choice, now, you can use that money you save on long-distance phone bills to buy us presents (we’re a 33×34).

Annie
Pat you're right... "just send an e-mail to me " and " just send me an e-mail" means the same isn' it ? So in this case it's also the same.
Just a note , Jenny says "upload" as " 上载" shàngzǎi . Actually the more often used term is " 上传" shàng chuán .
I also think this level's class is slightly a bit higher than I expected. But maybe it's good as it would force people to think more in Chinese.

Claude
Bazza,

Thanks for your hint about the "smart playlist" it almost does the job, unfortunately the lesson are no sorted in the proper order, it uses the title do it, so lesson "10" is just after lesson "1" and before lesson "2"
I still think that if the mp3 tags were properly given values such as the album having the lesson's level and the track number being the lesson's number it would help a bit more, isn't it?

Elena
Dear Chinesepod Stars! I discovered this useful website one month ago, and I am very happy. I download lessons everyday. But I have a little problem, because I am not at home most of the day, and I usually use mp3, but when I put some lessons into my mp3, later, I can't hear them. I don't know why, perhaps they only can be heard with an iPod??? Thanks very much for your 服务, I am learning a lot with you. :)

Greetings from Spain.

Bazza 吴白锐
Claude, if you sort the playlist by play order number, the far left column. You can then select, drag and drop the episodes in the list until they are in the correct numeral order. You only have to do this once, as any new episodes are automatically added to the bottom of the list.

jenny zhu
The spectrum of comments is so wide that I am thrown into hell one minute and found myself in heaven the next. Sincere gratitude to both camps. It's really stimulating to see all of you guys so involved, which compels us to work harder and do better.
We now know by heart that none of our tech savvy poddies remotely likes to hear a company policy banning internet use featured in a lesson. We'll make it up to you big time with a series of IT lessons starting next week. 重新爱我们吗？/chong2 xin1 ai4 wo3 men2 ma? /Renewed love for us?
Once again, I must say that I am soooo appreciative of all the contribution you guys are making. Helping each other out with language and tech issues, and most importantly really solving them. We are making Chinese magic here! Changing the world with our brains and hearts!

Ola Elena! Normaly every Mp3 player should be fine reading the chinesepodcast mp3s. Some players have problems reading variable bitrates but the chinesepod mp3s are encoded with a constant bitrate, so it shouldn´t be a problem. Have you tried renaming the mp3 files with a shorter name? Maybe it could help. If not, could you tell me what player do you use? I could try to find some infos to help you.

David
Hi Elena and Niels,

About MP3 players. I also had a problem with hearing Cpod on an MP3 player. I couldn't figure it out and switched to an older version I have. It works so I haven't bothered with the other. The other one I have no idea of the brand so I can't update firmware or anything on it. My Chinese and English music works fine on it though. Any ideas? Looking forward to hearing how you two figure out how to use Elene's.
