Hi All,

How do you use ChinesePod to learn Mandarin?

We have been contacted by doctoral student Yu-Ju Lin from Indiana University, who is looking to speak to ChinesePod users about how they use the service to learn. Here's his message:

"I am currently working with Dr. Bonk (author of "The world is open") for a research on extreme learning (non-traditional learning).

"The research we are working on is to document the different ways that people learn outside of traditional schooling or societal structures, and generally help people learn how, when, or where they want."

Dr. Bonk's website: http://mypage.iu.edu/~cjbonk/

Yu-Ju Lin is looking for 3 to 5 persons to interview: "These people will use ChinesePod to learn Chinese [as their main resource]. Most important of all, their lives has been changed because of this non-traditional learning method."

If you would like to get involved in this research, please send your contact information (name and
e-mail) to me at sarah.edson@chinesepod.com

Thanks!

I listen to mandarin in my ear at work all day this method with Rosetta Stone works very well. My wife is also Chinese so speaking the language is also a very high necessity, Chinese is tonal so it is very, very important to immerse yourself in it, to not only understand the tones , but to not seperate the culture from the language.
