General Discussion - Good University Chinese Language Courses

Hello all,

given the state of the irish economy at the moment, I'm giving some serious thought to studying full-time in a Chinese university for a year starting september 2010

What I want to know is can anybody recommend a good course in a good university?

I'm especially thinking of Hangzhou, or Urumqi (two very dissimilar options I know, I have personal reasons for thinking about these cities) but actually I'd like to hear from anybody who's had good or bad experiences in a Chinese university in any city, just so I can get a good picture of how things generally work.
