英国当代诗人西格夫里·萨松(Siegfried Sassoon)曾写过一行不朽的警句:“In me the tiger sniffe the rose”勉强把它译成中文,便是:“我心里有猛虎在细嗅蔷薇。”
Yīngguó dāngdài shīrén Xīgéfūlǐ ·Sàsōng (Siegfried Sassoon )céng xiě guò yìháng bùxiǔ de jǐngjù :“In me the tiger sniffe the rose ”miǎnqiǎng bǎ tā yìchéng Zhōngwén ,biàn shì :“wǒ xīnli yǒu měng hǔ zài xì xiù qiángwēi 。”
The modern British poet Siegfried Sassoon once wrote an immortal line of warning "In me the tiger sniffs the rose", for which, if you forced me to translate it into Chinese, I would use the phrase "我心里有猛虎在细嗅蔷薇" (There's a fierce tiger in my heart carefully sniffing at a rose).
如果一行诗句可以代表一种诗派,我就愿举这行诗为象征诗派艺术的代表。每次念及,我不禁想起法国现代画家昂利·卢梭(Henri Rousseau)的杰作“沉睡的吉普赛人”。
rúguǒ yìháng shījù kěyǐ dàibiǎo yīzhǒng shī pài ,wǒ jiù yuàn jǔ zhè xíng shī wèi xiàngzhēng shī pài yìshù de dàibiǎo 。měicì niànjí ,wǒ bùjīn xiǎng qǐ Fǎguó xiàndài huàjiā Ánglì ·Lú Suō (Henri Rousseau )de jiézuò “chénshuì de Jípǔsàirén ”。
If one line of poetry can represent a poetic movement, I would nominate this line to represent Symbolism. Each time I recite this line, I can't help but think of 'The Sleeping Gypsy', a masterpiece by contemporary French artist Henri Rousseau.
假使卢梭当日所画的不是雄狮逼视着梦中的浪子,而是猛虎在细嗅含苞的蔷薇,我相信,这幅画同样会成为杰作。惜乎卢梭逝世,而萨松尚未成名。
jiǎshǐ Lú Suō dāngrì suǒ huà de bùshì xióngshī bīshì zhe mèng zhōng de làngzǐ ,érshì měng hǔ zài xì xiù hánbāo de qiángwēi ,wǒ xiāngxìn ,zhè fú huà tóngyàng huì chéngwéi jiézuò 。xíhū Lú Suō shìshì ,ér Sà Sōng shàngwèi chéngmíng 。
If Rousseau had depicted a tiger carefully smelling a budding rose instead of a lion staring intently at a sleeping vagrant, I believe this piece would still have been seen as a masterpiece. Unfortunately Rousseau has passed away, and Sassoon never really became famous.
