White Dragon Learns a Lesson

Here is a classic fable (寓言 yùyán = allegory; parable; fable) from China.

The Emperor of Heaven's White Dragon steed changes himself into a fish, gets shot in the eye, and asks his master to punish the offending mortal. But the outcome is surprisingly just.

I'm afraid I know little about the origin of this story, I hope Chinese friends will comment and advise!
