I use the iPhone app with traditional characters -- although its a bit of hackish.

Make sure you are logged out of the ChinesePod iphone app. (settings > logout)

Login to ChinesePod though the iPod Safari browser using your username & password.

Go to a lesson, and use the "cogwheel" to select "traditional characters".

Now start the iphone app and login to ChinesePod. It will revalidate through the chinesepod website.

All lessons you download from here will be in traditional Chinese. That is dialogs, vocab, expansion etc.

Flashcards you add using the Iphone app won't work in the Chinesepod website flash card tool. But you can edit them / tag them in the vocabulary manager.

Thank you for your tip! I've just started using the application and the premium subscription to chinesepod. :)

Hmm... but now I won't be able to update new lessons in the "lesson" file in my ipod app? So this means that everytime I want new lessons in my ipod I first have to log on on the internet, change to simplified, update application, and then back on the computer to change to traditional? 很麻煩。Chinesepod people! Fix this problem please...

I could use this feature built in, too.

Hi,

I don't have the app in front of me today, and I'll check when I get back, but I believe you can find the option to change to traditional in the settings tab.

Best,
