Sleeping - how to say in Mandarin

Hi, I have a question about how to say "to sleep" in Mandarin. I have seen combinations of shui, jiao, and zhao that has been very confusing to me. So there is shui, shuijiao, shuizhao, shuijiaozhao, shuidejiaozhao, etc. I'd appreciate it. Thx.
