Hello all,

I'd like to share information about a public speaking club that some friends and I have created recently in Beijing. If your level of Chinese allows you to deliver 5-minute speeches, it's a great way to improve further and put your language skills to use in a real environment.

Beijing Bilingual Toastmasters is a new public speaking club in Beijing. Every week at our meeting, members deliver improvised and prepared speeches on a variety of topics, in English or in Chinese in a friendly environment. Through regular peer feedback, members learn to improve their confidence, body language, and word use; they find their natural style and become the speakers and leaders they are meant to be.
It’s also great to be part of a dynamic and fun group!
We are part of Toastmasters, a large international organization, dedicated to developing communication and leadership skills around the world.
