getting the most of the dialogue

I try to tweak everything possible out of chinesepod and my ipod.
I figured out that the classical flashcard system works quite fine with
ipod and intelligent playlists -
you probably know the concept (in a box with 5 inner boxes, every vocabulary you know gets one box higher, every vocabulary you forgot gets back into the first box) -
I set up 5 intelligent playlists, selecting the dialogs and adjusting the rating.
Every dialog I understand completely gets one star more while playing, every dialog I dont understand gets back to zero. In this way I know, which lessons I skipped so far and can catch up on chinesepod.
How do you use your dialogues?

December 18, 2007, 01:30 AMOne of the best ways is first listen to the lesson one time through without any distractions just to get the broad overview. Next is to have the transcripts and wordlists available as you listen to the podcasts so you can get a visual of the character and pinyin as well as the translations as you are listening. Works great to increase understanding and retention rate!
