Is there really no difference between zai nar and zai nali? I've heard both in Chinese pod and other places. Is it just regional in China? Also, nuhair and nuhazi? Is it in the north of China that they add the "r"? thanks.

The difference is regional not linguistic. Both "zài nǎir" and "zài nǎli" mean "where". But "zài nǎir" is used more in the North, e.g. Beijing and "zài nǎli" in the South, e.g. Shanghai.
