John: Hi, this is an intermediate lesson on chinesepod. I'm John
Dilu
John: So, today we have a lesson about shopping but fortunately it is the shopping that is most tolerable for men, right?
John: Right, so it's shopping for the man, for his birthday. So it's two girls in an office, right?

John: Alright, now let's take a look at the beginning of the dialogue, one of the girls is saying, uh, she doesn't know what to give her husband, right?
Dilu:
John: So I'm thinking So give him what is good, right? This 好 comes on the end.
Dilu:
John: Right, so what should I give him, right?
Dilu:

John: So the difference here is that 应该 can have this feeling of rules or obligations
Dilu:
John: Possibly
Dilu: 是的
John: Whereas 好, what?
John: That's when we use 好
Dilu: 对
John: OK, which one would he like, right?
John: Alright, we've got a couple of things going on here. Now, first of all in the very beginning of this sentence she said 男人 and then what?

Dilu:
John: OK, so this 男人嘛,this 嘛 what is that?
Dilu: 啊这个有点像是you know men
John: You know how men are
Dilu: 对
John: They're just men
Dilu:
John: OK, so it's kind of like leading off this sentence with "well, you know men" and then her understanding of men is...what kind of presents are good?
Dilu:
