Hanzi street names in Amsterdam

January 02, 2008, 08:33 AM posted in General DiscussionI spent New Year's Eve in Amsterdam, which has a really nice China Town. Part of the charm of this part of the city comes from the fact that the streets have their names written in hanzi.
Unfortunately, it seems that in some cases the people putting up the signs were unfamiliar Chinese script. Either that or they were under the influence of fumes from a nearby coffee shop.
