Android app problem

I just want to point out the problem with the android phone app - when you go to the self-study section and press sync/more lessons to try and access more lessons, it only makes a very small number accessible - for some reason it stops loading more on to the screen for you to listen to. This means although there are plenty of lessons on the site, you can't access them through the Chinesepod app.
I this can be rectified.

Our Android developer and I are looking into this. We're a bit confused about the "not sorted like they are on the website" comment, because they should be listed exactly the same way in your feeds. What version of the app are you using?

What I mean is that they are listed in the order they have been posted (mixing all lesson types/levels).. but on the site you can go to the library and view just the intermediate lessons - but you can't do this in the app.

May 18, 2012, 05:10 PMAs some others have stated, the past few weeks the new lessons load after synching but the Listen (download of the audio files), Dialogue,Vocabulary and Expansion tabs are greyed out. Nothing happens when you click it.
This is happening with my Assigned and Self-study. I have uninstalled, cleared cache, reinstalled, etc.. a couple of time but not working. I have a Samsung SGH-I997 with Froyo.UCKH1....

I have to reinstall it to get the latest lessons because syncing doesn't do it!

Hi Dannnbell,
I could have sworn I replied to your earlier comments, but I don't see them here. Sorry!
Right now, the library and lesson management tools are only available on the website. I believe that there are plans to change this in the updated app versions.
As for the app not syncing, can you tell us a bit more about what's happening? The sync button doesn't work until the full lesson list is loaded- perhaps that's causing trouble?

When I've pressed more lessons a few times - until the more lessons button disappears - then I press sync, and the lessons list actually shortens (all the ones that loaded when i pressed 'more lessons' disappear), but it doesn't download the latest lessons.
I need to reinstall the app to load the latest lessons...

it might have fixed itself.. it is working now for the first time..

May 16, 2012, 08:59 PMThe other problem in terms of usability is that the lessons that load in the self-study section are not sorted like they are on the website, so if you want to listen to a particular BST you would have to keep pressing more lessons a huge number of times until it came up. I suppose this is just the stage its at in its development as an app..
