How to download list of lessons ?

I have a simple task here -- I want to select 120 highest rated intermediate lessons.  It is being surprisingly difficult for me, does someone have an easy solution?

So let's say I am ready to upgrade to intermediate, and the recommended study term is 120 lessons.  I want to study on my own schedule, one per day, with the review mp3s following on next day, 5th day, 25th day and so on.  I have to use excel and itunes to make this schedule, and I think i got this part sorted out using lesson numbers.

The last thing remaining is to choose which 120 lessons.  With the prolific content creation team at CPod, there are now waaaay more than 120 lessons on the site, and looking by topics and themes does not seem to help me make up my mind.  So I've decided simply to create a lesson plan based on 120 lessons with the highest community rating.

Easy enough to say, and sounds like it should be a very easy task, but I can't figure out how to do this.  I just need a list of lesson numbers for intermediate level, with their rating.  Nothing more, not very complicated I thought, but I just can't do it on the website...

Am I being very stupid, or is this such an uncommon task, can anyone help me with this ?

As near as I have seen, there's never been a way to sort lessons by community rating, then once sorted this way, downloading them.  You're probably not the only person that wanted this capability, but you're the only person I've seen specifically ask for it.  Maybe Chinesepod will  give it to you.

Hi everyone,

That's a great suggestion. Right now, I don't think the rating mechanism really has much functionality, but the ability to sort by it would certainly be a great use for it. I'm adding it to my project wishlist.

Best,

I am glad you guys don't think I am crazy, this function would make sense to me.

If this cannot be done through the website, would it be possible to email me a list of lesson topics with the rating, JC? I am not sure if you can see the database more directly, or can make a table of this type; but if you could, this would be awesome!! Or, even better, is it possible for you to add bookmarks directly to my account ?

I am in the middle of restarting my lessons, and really need to start making daily playlists like now, before I lose motivation again ! The impossible choice of 120 lessons from 500 is very frustrating, I have been reading that psychologists are waking up to the depression caused by too many options, and I agree with them, especially about something as important as ChinesePod! Sorry about the ranting diversion...

PS: speaking of entering this into the wishlist of projects, itunes has a rating field, not sure if it is possible to sync that with the community rating when the podcast is downloaded, this would also be an idea. Of course, this would mean I would have to download all 500 lessons, and then do a smart playlist, but this would be better than nothing, no?
