Inputing pinyin - help!

November 26, 2012, 05:25 AM posted in I Have a QuestionI've been studying Chinese off and on for five years so this is embarrassing to say the least - but I can't figure out how to input "nu" meaning "woman". I'm using Microsoft pinyin new experience input style. I think it's just giving me the options for "nu" without the umlaut (the two dots), but those are different sounds/characters.
I don't remember having this issue when I had a Mac, but alas, this is no longer the case. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
