Reading texts in Chinese

Posted by marcelbdt January 18, 2008 in the Group General Discussion .

On the ChinesePod affiliated 88groups, bokane is running a group called contemporary Chinese literature. We are reading a novella called "The golden age" by Wang Xiaobo. I am getting very helpful comments out of bokane..:) So far, we have discussed the first chapter out of eleven, but I am prepared to go through it all in details (I have read it to the end).

It would be fantastic  if some more people joined us - I would certainly try to answer any questions on the text that I'm able to answer. The text is about sex, power and the cultural revolution. It is not THAT hard as Chinese texts go, but if you are like me, some electronic dictionary/text reader would be essential.

The group is at  http://88groups.com/contemporary-chinese-literature/lessons?scheduled_lesson_id=735.

You can log in at 88groups with your CPod credentials.
