A Chinese girl taught me a chengyu today, but I'm not sure if it's a real word or not. 一心二意. Is it real, or only exist in her lexicon?

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less."
"The question is," said Alice, "whether you can make words mean so many different things."
"The question is," said Humpty Dumpty, "which is to be master—that's all."

okay, 一心一意 means "wholeheartedly" or "heart and soul" so I will guess that 一心二意  means less than wholeheartedly.

You can say "一心二意",but it is not a "chengyu".

podster is right, 一心二意  means less than wholeheartedly.
