Upgrading Your CPOD Status - A Question

January 23, 2008, 02:04 PM posted in General DiscussionA quick question for Team CPOD. I'll post it here because other people might be wondering the same thing.
What happens if someone is subscribed to CPOD/SPOD at a BASIC level, they are paid up through the month -- and they suddenly decide to jump up to (say) PREMIUM for a month.
Do they lose the BASIC time? Is that debited from the overall charge? Is it tacked on to the end of the PREMIUM month?

January 23, 2008, 02:57 PMThanx, Henning. That's handy to know. After my brief absence for family matters during the end of last year, I've been easing back into things. I'm about ready to jump in full throttle. I'm sure the question must be explicitly explained in some dusty corner of this site, where people have to actively seek it out. I can't help thinking that other people wonder about this as well. If not, Team CPOD should be planting the seed; letting them know that the option exists. I'm pretty much a charter member, and *I* don't know the specifics. If I were webmastering here ... I think I'd add a button that says: "Update at Any Time". Said button would whisk you off to the appropriate page and explain the procedure in depth. You want to make it easy for people to do this.

January 23, 2008, 02:36 PMHad the situation when I first became Premium in summer of 2006 and when I switched to Practice for a month in summer 2007. In both cases all old "leftovers" where deducted from the fee*. (*in the second the situation was a little bit more complex as I also added 12 months premium to grab the promotion - 4 additional practice days and real flashcards).
