I've noticed that the lessons are seperated by difficulty, but how can I go about learning?
Should I just randomly pick based on my interests or should I go about making a type of personalized lesson plan? I don't see any clear learning pathway besides the extremely broad categories of "newbies, intermediate, etc..."

September 12, 2014, 07:24 AMHey Christopher,
There are a few options for this! Like the above user suggested, we have courses available at http://chinesepod.com/library/courses/.
If you're a complete beginner, I'd recommend the pin yin course. Alternatively you can use our app as well:
http://chinesepod.com/tools/pronunciation
Some other ways are to subscribe to our weekly newsletter. Each week we summarize the newest lessons, talk about study tips, and curate awesome stuff from around the web. If you would like to be placed on this list please let me know.
We really want our users to study topics that are interesting to them. Oftentimes, language learners are constrained by textbook curriculums, forcing them to learn about generic dialogues rather than stuff they'll really use in their daily lives.
For example, someone might be more interested in talking about their cat for hours on end, rather than learning how to talk about a bunch of different sports. Then they could use this lesson:

You can use our keyword search or tag cloud to help find lessons that are applicable to your life.

Good luck on your studies!
