February 14, 2008, 06:04 PMThere are some very interesting conversations there! My suggestion for "知己" - "soulmate" and "知己难寻" - "soulmates are hard to come by" :)

February 12, 2008, 02:09 PMcasie, ‘相见恨晚’这个词语好像只跟人们有关,因为‘相见’指的是别人。 如果我不幸没遇到具体的题目或者事情,怎么说,比如Cpod或者中文书法?

February 12, 2008, 03:49 PMCasie, I've also heard "If only we had met sooner." And in response to your "Feel like old friends when we met for the first time.一见如故," you often hear couples say "We must have known each other in a previous life." Glad you're on vacation and have lots of time for CPod...wouldn't it be nice to do this for a living? :)

February 12, 2008, 04:06 PMCalkins thanks. i think “if only we had met sooner” and "we must have known each other in a previous life" really make sense. what do you mean "do this for a living?"

February 12, 2008, 04:18 PMOh sorry! I meant if we didn't have to work and could get paid to be on CPod all the time. "What do you do for a living?" is basically the same as "What is your job?" (你的工作是什么?)
