Hello everybody!

I just like to say that I am very happy when I receive a new email with the lesson of the day

But unfortunatly I am  not at a top level and I find a llittle frustating when I look at a very stuffy text I cannot understand....Don'tyou think it would be nice and useful to have a translation for every  lesson? it can make improve and can be a reference even for those who understand.

Thank you!

Evelyne

There are transcripts for each lesson although you have to be at least a Basic (paying) member to access them. On each lesson page there is a "Lesson PDF" link which opens up a PDF file with the dialog from the lesson in it (with Chinese characters, pinyin and the English translation). Is this what you are looking for?

evelyne, You can buy translation software (unfortunately, you have to pay one way or another). I use Clavis Sinica. I think it was about $40 available on the web. I'm sure there are better programs, but I'm comfortable with this one. I like the relational database nature of the dictionary....good for relating characters. The good thing about buying some translation software is that with basic understanding of the lanuage, an elementary learner can understand more advanced material.
