applying for a loan

Hey guys, I'm applying for a mortgage in Taiwan. (well my wife is for us and I'm doing my best to keep up) I just got off the phone with the bank and realized how much vocabulary I've learned.  I was wondering, is there a Cpod lesson on loans and mortgages?  If not maybe there should be!  I was thinking upper intermediate because there is a lot of vocab to know.  Anyway, if there is one could someone point it out to me.

Also, I just learned that there are currently no fixed rate mortgages available in taiwan and the interest rate is under 3%. (certain to rise!?)  How does this compare with China?  Just curious.

Last of all, what's the Chinese for "equity?"

thanks
