Importing to Vocab. Manager No Longer Available?
calkins
March 23, 2008, 05:01 AM posted in General DiscussionIs it no longer possible to import vocabulary into our vocabulary manager? The "Import & Export" link is there, but there's no longer an option to import an XML file.
Did this disappear with the new vocabulary manager? I figured out a way to convert all my vocab. from simplified to traditional, but can't use it if I can't import the revised file.
I'd love to know if this feature is scheduled to be back online.
Thanks,
Brent

April 08, 2008, 08:55 AMcalkins, I'm sorry about this, but t looks like the import functionality is not going to be available for a while. The tech team has a lot on its plate. I will update you as the situation changes...

March 25, 2008, 06:24 AMBrent, I am sorry i don't know the answer! The Video is funny, "anyone, anyone":-) Is it history class? Why those students look like boring with the class? I would answer "I know the Great Depression" when the teacher asked "Anyone, anyone?" Btw, Great Depression=大萧条da4 xiao1tiao2

March 25, 2008, 02:18 PMTvan, this is one of the many great scenes from the classic movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"...starring Matthew Broderick in the mid-80's. If you haven't seen it, it's hilarious and a must see. No connection to Mandarin, it was just my way of asking CPod "anyone...anyone...anyone?" because no one's responded with an answer! Cassie, as always, thanks for the new vocab...I'll import it into my vocab. manager ;) Moloch, I agree. It's been way too long for me too....I think this will go into my netflix queue immediately!

March 25, 2008, 03:32 AMCalkins, I don't know the answer to your question, but I did enjoy the video. I can't believe the students didn't know what the Laffer curve was. These people must have no life. Still, other than the 在觀看一次 at the end, I'm still working on the connection to Mandarin... I know it's there somewhere.

April 07, 2008, 08:47 PMHey guys, is there any word on the recent vocab. manager glitches? I'm wondering when I'll be able to get back to my regular vocab. routine.

March 25, 2008, 02:48 PMcalkins, that is a classic movie. In the not-so-recent past -- try the mid-1990s), I had two impacted wisdom teeth extracted in a single day. "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" was one of the videos in the stack that I rented in order to amuse myself at home over the two days of mandatory "medical leave" at home. Bad! BAD!!! That film made me laugh so hard that I popped three stitches before I had slept off the effect of the "happy pills". But it was worth it! I think it's one of the funniest films I've ever seen, in a wicked sort of way...
